This October 17, Homeschool Association of the Philippine Islands, Manila Workshops and The Learning Basket brings you the largest homeschooling conference this year – The Philippine Homeschool Conference 2015: Ready for the World!

As a precursor for the Global Home Education Conference (GHEC) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in March 2016, The Philippine Homeschool Conference 2015: Ready for the World! features two well-respected homeschool advocates and speakers from the US: Michael Donnelly, Director for Global Outreach HSLDA and GHEC 2016; and Rachael Carman, best-selling author, publisher-Apologia Series, and mother of 7 kids. Aside from this, we also have sought-after speaker and homeschooling advocate Edric Mendoza, host of On The Money and homeschooling dad of 5 kids.

To be held at Samsung Hall, SM Convention Center SM Aura (Meeting Rooms 4-6), from 8:00AM to 5:00PM*, Ready for the World! will be packed with inspiration and information that will empower parents to homeschool their children well. An All Access Pass (pass to go in and out of all three venues, including the exposition venue) is at Php 1000 per person for the early bird rate.
* Registration will start at 7:00 am.

Aside from the inspiring talks, we have a huge exposition of the various learning providers, educational tools, toys, books, etc. that will help homeschooling parents and aspiring homeschooling parents in their daily lives. This exposition will be open to the public for a minimal amount of Php 50 per head.

PHC2015 Media Parnters

Get the chance to listen to our international speakers in an intimate setting at a pre-event on October 16 at the CCF Center in Ortigas. Entrance is FREE if you register and pay before Sept. 30. Seats are limited.

While you are soaking up all the goodness that the homeschool conference has to offer, let your kids have their own learning moments in any of the following activities. Participation in each workshop is P500 per person, materials included. We will accept only 25 students per class so register today.

Hi! Yes, we will have a session called “Raising the Bar for Independents.” We invited a speaker to share her experience homeschooling her now grown kids independently. We are also hoping to have DepEd representatives to answer some questions that independent homeschoolers may have.

Hi! Yes you will definitely get new information from this conference. As you can see, we’ll be flying in from the USA two staunch homeschool advocates – Michael Donnelly and Rachael Carman. Locally, we will have Teacher Ched Arozadon, a professor from UP Diliman College of Education to talk about how homeschoolers can deal with the DepEd requirements, best-selling author Chinkee Tan will be talking about how homeschool families can maximize their hard earned money and many others. Aside from that, there are many parents who are still considering to homeschool, you are in a great position to help and inform the parents there by sharing your experience to them personally. We hope to see you there.

Hi, im a sahm and breastfeeding mom, can i bring my kids to the venue? Planning to homeschool my son that’s why i really love to attend here.

    • Ginger Arboleda says

Hi Leah! 🙂 The entrance to the expo area is free for the kids, but for the Samsung Galaxy Hall Area, we have limited seats so we are charging for that.

  2. Pam says

I would like to register today. I’ll be tagging along my hubby, daughter, and yaya. Hubby and yaya will be with my daughter when I attend workshops. Do I have to get all-access passes for hubby and yaya too? Also, there will be times that my daughter will stay with me in the workshops for naps (since she only naps/sleeps with me). Can she be exempted from the all-access pass? Appreciate your reply. Thanks!

    • Ginger Arboleda says

Hi Pam! Our suggestions is that get the all access pass for you and your hubby and the expo pass for yaya 🙂 Children can enter the expo area for free, but for Samsung Galaxy Hall, we discourage parents from bringing the children inside to avoid noise (but if she just sleeps on your lap), we can allow that naman 🙂

    • Ginger Arboleda says

Hi Pauline! Sure! 🙂 The entrance to the expo area is free for the kids, but for the Samsung Galaxy Hall Area, we have limited seats so we are charging for that.

  3. Wayne Bernardino says

Hi! My husband and I want to attend the workshop with our 18-month old. As early as now we are learning the ropes of homeschooling to prepare for when it’s time for him to start. He is directly breastfed, would it be okay to take him with us? Are there activities that he and dad can participate in for when he gets bored sitting with me? Thank you!

  4. Emely Abagat says

I am planning to fly from Korea to attend the conference. Can I pay the registration fee on the day itself? Do I need to register earlier to reserve the slot? Thank you!

  5. Raquel says

    Just to clarify:
    1. The All Access Pass does not include entry/access to workshops?
    2. Each workshop is priced at Php500 each per head? (So if both me and my daughter will be attending one workshop that’s Php1000, right?)

    • Ginger Arboleda says

      Hi Raquel!

      1. Yes, that is correct. It allows you entry though to the expo and the Samsung Galaxy Hall.
      2. Yes, that is correct also 🙂

  6. Greg Clark says

When trying to register for early bird I am getting an error after clicking on page following form fill up… It is stating I need to chose an event… Tried it several times and still getting error…

  7. says

I have already deposited my registration fee to your Unionbank account. I was asked to scan a copy of the transaction slip. I understand that I was supposed to receive an email from you which I still have not received. May I know where I can send the copy of my deposit for the registration?

  8. Mary R says

I’m only interested in the session(s) related to home-schooling independently. Do I need to pay the all-access pass or do you have a rate just for that session(s), and can I pay on the day itself?

May I also know what time the sessions on independent homeschooling will be as I only want to attend those (regardless of the question on paying the all-access pass – it’s more of managing my time on the conference day itself)?

In case I cannot attend, will you be offering records of the sessions for sale?

  9. Regino C Paz says

    Hi Ginger,

I was planning on attending this conference. Registering slipped my mind, though. When I checked today, the All Access Pass option has been greyed out and I could not register anymore.

Is it still possible to register and attend?

    Thanks so much!

  14. Kris says

Hi! I checked the schedule for Saturday’s event. Would it possible to see a more detailed description of what to expect per topic/talk so we can choose those that are better suited for us? Thank you! 🙂

  15. Ann Vitug says

Hi! I will only be available from 10am onwards on Oct 17. Will I still be allowed to register at that hour/time? I would really love to attend. Thanks and more power.

  16. Leonardo Pabroquez says

Hi, My wife and I already paid the registration. But, we can’t go this Saturday because of bad weather. We’re from Iloilo.
Is there a way we can get a refund? Thank you very much!
